    SAGE Hotline connects LGBTQ+ older people who want to talk with friendly responders who are ready to listen. Hotline responders are certified in crisis response, offer support without judgment, and are trained in LGBTQ+ cultural competency.

    Trans Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support phone service run by trans people for our trans and questioning peers. Call if you need someone trans to talk to, even if you’re not in a crisis or if you’re not sure you’re trans.

    Aging Services Council of Central Texas

    Aging Services Council brings together organizations serving and interested in older adults to identify & address challenges in the larger systems that impact older adults. They address needs of the aging population, identify and fill service gaps, and work on joint projects. They also educate the community and older adults about the needs & available services. They serve as an advocate for elder’s issues, and share information.

    Area Agency on Aging Capital Area (AAACAP)

    AAACAP serves older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers with a variety of services and supports throughout the region.     Creating more welcoming care for LGBTQ+ elders - SAGECare is a cultural competency training program for skilled nursing facilities, health care organizations, assisted living communities, hospice and palliative care, long-term care communities, home health providers, and anyone providing services to older adults.

  • Family Acceptance Project (FAP)

    FAP collaborated with Child and Adolescent Services at San Francisco General Hospital/University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and with community providers to develop a new family-oriented model of wellness, prevention and care for LGBTQ children and adolescents, based on their research. This new family-related approach helps ethnically, racially and religiously diverse families to decrease rejection and increase support to prevent risk and promote their LGBTQ children's well-being.
